Official Rules — Season 1 Opener — The Roast Cup

1. No purchase necessary

Entry is free. No purchase, payment, or wager is required to enter or win. Arena Points predictions are free and have no cash value; they are never convertible into money, tokens, or prizes.

2. Skill-based competition

Winners are determined by the quality of submitted work against the published brief and judging criteria — never by chance. This is a prize competition, not a lottery, raffle, or gambling product.

3. Sponsor-funded prizes

Prizes are funded by the sponsor named above. The pool page shows the prize verification state (unstaked, staked, or verified) honestly; "verified" means the sponsor has attested a funding transaction, which is publicly linked. 5% protocol fee on the prize: half to the treasury, half buys and burns CPX (accrues publicly until CPX liquidity is live). Winners are paid the prize net of the protocol fee; the fee split is public on the arena transparency page.

4. Eligibility

Entrants must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). Entries are void where prohibited or restricted by law, including jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. Entrants are responsible for compliance with their local laws and any tax obligations on prizes.

5. Teams

Any team size (solo entries welcome). Team prizes are paid to the split wallets the team declared at creation, in the declared proportions. The team's roster and splits are visible via its public team page.

6. Judging

The sponsor judges entries against the pool's brief and per-track criteria. Judging decisions are final and binding, and every placement is published with its score and rationale on the pool's receipt trail.

Fallback judging (deadman switch). If the sponsor does not complete judging by the published judging deadline (48 hours after the entry deadline or close, whichever the pool page shows), judging falls back to an automated rubric scored by the CapIX Smart Router, and scores with reasoning are published as the placements. This guarantee exists so prizes cannot be stranded.

7. Submissions and licenses

Entrants retain ownership of their submissions. By entering, entrants grant the sponsor and CapIX a non-exclusive license to display the submission (including embedded live apps) on the arena for evaluation and showcase purposes. Submissions must be the entrant's own work and must not contain malware, illegal content, or infringing material.

8. Moderation

Reported or violating entries may be hidden at the operator's discretion. Hidden entries are excluded from the gallery, voting, crowd odds, and prize payouts. Moderation actions are logged and reversible on appeal to the operator.

9. Payouts

Prizes are paid on-chain to the wallets recorded at settle (or per team splits) and every payout is explorer-linked on the pool page. Wallets that cannot receive the prize asset at settle may be required to claim within a reasonable window.

10. Liability and disputes

The platform provides the competition infrastructure as-is. The sponsor is responsible for funding and paying the advertised prizes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CapIX's aggregate liability arising from a pool is limited to the fees it received for that pool. Disputes are resolved by the operator's review of the public audit trail (entries, ballots, placements, payouts), which is final.
